Who doesn't love the natural, chorus-style effect of a rotary speaker? Here, Strymon have compressed the full sound and variable functions of a hefty rotary box in one little pedal. The next-gen Lex V2 now sounds even better than its predecessor thanks to a few cheeky tweaks and additions. Jack in your guitar, organ, or synth and play around with the highly accurate virtual emulation of the complex sonic interaction between the mechanical workings of a real rotary speaker. Alongside the intuitive set of controls that came with the V1, an extra Speed pot has been added, offering deeper control over the motor rotation, and two mini-switches to select the virtual microphone position and ramp speed have also been added, handing users free rein over the sound.

The hardware of the Lex V2 has also been upgraded by the addition of a JFET input complete with a discrete Class-A preamp that boosts the response to pack the signal with more dynamics than ever, and of course, this stompbox also offers the pick of mono or stereo inputs. The internal ARM chip is also new, and just like current smartphones and computers, is able to carry out multiple parallel tasks at a far lower power consumption, making this one of the fastest-thinking effect pedals in existence. Full MIDI support also grants musicians access to every parameter that this model has on offer, which can be controlled via your DAW or an external MIDI controller.
